Ph.D. in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy from the Universities of A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, and Vigo. She began her career as a lecturer in the Diploma in Tourism from 2000 to 2009 and, subsequently, as a lecturer in the Degree in Tourism from 2009 to the present. She worked as a Professor in charge of Quality from 2012 to 2021.
Currently, she is a lecturer in the Faculty of Tourism-UDC (Department of Sociology and Communication), as well as Academic Secretary of the Faculty. Her main lines of research focus on local development from a tourism perspective, functions, and techniques of public relations applied to tourism, and gender and tourism. She has published more than 10 articles in prestigious journals, contributed to more than 10 books, and participated in more than 15 congresses, of which she has been a member of the Scientific Committee in 5 of them. His H index is 5 (April 2022).
Since 2020 she belongs to the Territorial Studies Research Group and since 2019 she is Academic Editor of the journal ROTUR, Revista de Ocio y Turismo. She has also been a member of the Grupo de Innovación Docente e Divulgación en Turismo (GIDTur) since 2020.
About her participation in projects, among others, she has been PI in the project Demoscopic Analysis on the Tourism Demand of the English Way, funded by the Association of Concellos of the English Way (2021). She is currently a member of the research team of the HERIT project (Erasmus+) focused on the enhancement of historic houses.
