Temporary lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Communication Sciences. After obtaining his PhD in Sociology in 2016, he started his research career at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa ( ICS/ UL) in the framework of the European H2020 project 'ROCK - Cultural Heritage leading urban futures', focused on the socio-cultural revitalization of the Beato-Marvila area in the city of Lisbon. From 2017 to 2020 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centro de Investigação do Território, Transportes e Ambiente ( CITTA) da Faculdade de Engenharía da Universidade do Porto ( FEUP) in the European H2020 project '3 SRECIPE - Smart Shrinkage Solutions - Fostering Resilient Cities in Inner Peripheries of Europe' on the processes of urban shrinkage in the city of Porto.
His research career is completed with the publication of several articles and chapters focused on the analysis of urban sociology, as well as with his participation in numerous international conferences. Fundamentally, his main lines of research focus on issues such as residential and commercial xentrification, urban regeneration, the impact of tourism and the various expressions of social conflict in urban space. In recent months he has collaborated assiduously in the elaboration of various urban plans within the municipality of A Coruña, an activity that he combines with teaching in various subjects in the faculties of Sociology, Business Administration, Economics, Education Sciences and Humanities.
