General information

The main mission of the University Library (BUDC) is to support the teaching, learning, research and integral training needs of the University's students and academic staff, but also those of the whole community. To reach this goal the Library provides and promotes access to its information resources, manages spaces, equipment and services, and collaborates in the information to knowledge transformation process. In this way, the Library adds value to the University and contributes actively to its mission at the service of society.

The 101 librarians of the BUDC give service to 23,764 users at 16 service points. The Library collection includes 516.012 books, 219.106 ebooks and 33.921 documents in other formats, such as maps, microforms, DVDs, etc. The BUDC also has 9.210 printed journals and 27.814 in digital format, and it gives access as well to 66 databases that cover all scientific disciplines.  All this material results in more than 2 million euros expenditure from the annual budget of the Library and is searcheable from Crunia, the library catalogue.

All the members of the UDC community are full users of the Library. Other external users expressly authorized by the Library or belonging to entities with which there are agreements may have access to the borrowing services.

The general opening hours are from 08.30 a.m. to 09.30 p.m., from Monday to Friday. These hours can be reduced during the holiday periods.
