Literary studies of the different minorities of the United States from a comparative perspective (interethnic literary studies), with a special emphasis on the Asian Diaspora and the relationship between gender and ethnicity.
Ecocriticism based on the different literary traditions in English, focusing on the literature of the United States.
Magic realism and autobiography in the literatures of the United States and the Diaspora.

Textual and comparative analysis of contemporary North American literature.
Poststructuralism and ethics of fiction in North American culture (literature, theater, film studies).
Interests:
North American women writers focusing on approaches dealing with gender, ethnicity, class and race, among others.
The critical perspectives used are feminism, ethics and other theories such as dialogy (M. M. Bakhtin) and ecocriticism.
