INE Microdata

National Institute of Statistics (INE) is the most important producer of grey literature in our country. In addition to the statistical information that appears freely in INEbase, INE offers the possibility of obtaining anonymous microdata files with a higher level of disaggregation. You can find a list with statistical relations in its web from which you can obtain downloadable microdata. These are ASCII files that need adequate programs for the processing of statistical data. Whoever is interested just has to choose a statistical series and select the different periods available.

CUSTOMIZED MICRODATA

However, you may be interested in obtaining customized microdata files. This type of data is not available on the web. You must request the library to purchase them and they have use restrictions. The library acquires the microdata through individualized requests of the faculty and researching staff (PDI) and its consultation is restricted to the petitioner and to the people (PDI as well) who then demand access, always, fill in an application form that will be sent and approved by INE.

If you are a PDI and you need to consult any of the series that are already in the catalog or you are interested in having the library purchase anything more, please contact us by email: soc.bib@udc.es

Series available in the catalog upon request and authorization from INE:
