PCR

Rural Studio is a degree program in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture at Auburn University, Alabama (USA), operating since 1993.
Its philosophy is based on challenge students with real issues of the black belt of West Alabama area. Activities for the community, in contexts of low cost, selfconstruction, and with the use of friendly technology are triggered.

Basic Iniciative is a collaboration of faculty and students from Portland State University and University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture. They support community partnerships beginning two decades ago in housing solutions for Native Americans, housing and community services for migrant farm workers, and schools and health clinics in central Mexico. Each program draws upon the unique relationship of communities to their environment, finding solutions that embrace appropriate technologies while reinforcing local values to spur self-initiated development.

Arquitectura y Compromiso Social is a university association and a NGO development based in the School of Architecture of Seville, Spain.
Its aim is to contribute to human development through the promotion of habitat improvement processes able to strengthen the social fabric in the conquest of increasing degrees of autonomy on the part of communities.

Vastu Shilpa Foundation is a non-governmental organization established in Ahmendabad (India) by the architect Doshi for study and research in Environmental Design. The Institute has done pioneering work on low-cost housing and city planning in India. Its action extends through workshops where academics and scholars from around the world are involved in the objectives of the Foundation.

Construyendo Taller, project of a group of teachers and students working on social design, at marginal points in Costa Rica, from the perspective of product design, interior design and architecture, in improving the quality of life of users and their environment. Works with a high research content and a digital and real manufacturing high process.
