Collection
Current collection has its origin in the holdings of the Library of Sociology which began to run in the academic year 1991/1992. In 2006 the Library of Communication Sciences´s holdings were integrated.
Our collection is specialized in areas of knowledge of sociology, politics, urbanism, communication sciences, cinema, etc. It brings together 53.324 items of paper monographs, 159 maps and 32 current printed journals. It also has the largest audiovisual collection of the university: 2.893 films, 248 animation works, 401 documentaries and 219 TV series and with a collection of 48 videogames. [data 31/12/2024]
This collection is complemented with access to other electronic information resources (databases, ejournals, ebooks ...) accessible through the institutional network of the University of A Coruña.
