
Hayk Manukyan
Hayk Manukyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. He studied violin with P. Aikasian at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in Armenia (High Level Diploma 1986). He was professor of violin at Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and at Romanos Melikyan Conservatory. Hayk Manukyan began his career as a solo performer at the age of 11. Among the awards he received between 1971-1984 are: National Violin Competition, Yerevan (first prize). International Competition of Young Performers of the Caucassus (second prize). He played as a soloist and as a member of several chamber groups in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yerevan. He has played as a soloist and as a member of Trio Fortepiano, first violinist in the Municipal Symphonic Orchestra of Armenia, first violinist in the Chamber Orchestra Virtuosos of Armenia, violinist of the Trio David Jandgyan. Both, as a soloist and as a ensamblist he toured travelling in Minsk (Belarus), Riga (Latvia), Kishinev (Moldava), Dublin (Ireland), Milan, Turin, Vercelli (Italy), Stuttgart, Munich, Dresden, Kölh (Germany). He lives in Spain since 1993. He has been violinist of the OSG (1993-2002), and first violin player at the String Quartet Granados and in many chamber groups.
