Constantin Florin CARUNTU

I am a full professor in the Automatic Control and Applied Informatics Department, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi (TUIASI), Romania. I have acquired solid teaching experience at TUIASI, first as a teaching assistant (2011) and afterwards as an assistant (2012)/associate (2016)/full (2020) professor in the Department of Automatic Control and Applied Informatics. Since 2011, I teach the following courses: “Data transmission – Remote process control”, 4th year, Bachelor studies, and “Modeling and predictive control”, 2nd year, Master studies in English.
I’ve participated in the ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching framework visiting the following Universities: (i) Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands – Control Systems research group (2012), and (ii) Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium – Department of Electrical energy, Systems & Automation (2015, 2019). Also, I’ve been an invited lecturer at: (i) Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain (2015), (ii) Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium – International Summer Course on Multivariable Control (2015), (iii) Federal University of Technology – Parana, Brazil, campus Cornelio Procopio (2015) and campus Londrina (2016).
I have a strong background in linear and nonlinear control systems, Lyapunov stability, networked/distributed control, nonlinear optimization with applications in the areas of industrial processes, automotive systems, mechatronic devices.
