Corinna Erken is a passionate educator with international experience in the Fashion Industry as designer, maker and consultant, with a strong focus on sustainability and startups. Corinna has previously taught in the Middle East and focuses her research on artisanal craftsmanship and systems change. Corinna is the Programme Manager for Fashion at RMIT University Vietnam. Originally from Germany, Corinna has a dual bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design & Pattern Making from the prestigious ESMOD Institute and holds a Master in Fashion Retail & Luxury Management from the London College of Contemporary Arts as well as a Bachelor in Business Management from AKAD Germany. Before moving to Vietnam she has lived in the UAE for 16 years, where she has worked, amongst other roles, as consultant helping young start up brands setting up their collection, developing their brand sustainably and entering the market. Corinna has previously taught Patternmaking at the French Fashion Institute ESMOD as well as Digital Craftsmanship and Fashion Ethics & Culture at the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation. Her passion lies in the art of craft and making and educating to invoke systemic change industry through craft, culture and societal shifts.
