Rui Alberto Ferreira Jesus

Graduated in 1993 in Systems Engineering and Informatics, Prof. Rui Jesus teaches Research and Statistics as his main activity (in the schools of CESPU, the largest private health education institution in Portugal). He is also member and founder of the Educational Technology Office at CESPU, which helps the academic community to integrate the best eLearning practices. In 2010, he completed his PhD in Education, having specialized in eLearning. Between 2011 and 2015 he was president of the Pedagogical Council of Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Sousa (one of the CESPU’s schools); and between 2007 and 2011 he was part of the Pedagogical Survey Monitoring Committee, providing statistical support to the process of evaluating the satisfaction of CESPU’s students and teachers.

Previously, he worked in Information Systems Analysis, in companies such as Texas Instruments and the Portuguese Railway company, while specializing in Electronic Commerce, through a Masters in Management Informatics at University of Minho (he obtained his master's degree in 1998).
