UDC (Universidad de A Coruña. Spain) organises an International Symposium on the theme Lazarillo de Tormes and its Followers providing the recent change of orientation in the Lazarillian studies. This symposium considers both original texts and translations, adaptations and continuations of the work. Thus, it includes four major Thematic Areas: "Texts: language and literature", "Translations: foreign and peninsular languages", "History and society" and "Didactics of cultural events".

The event will be held over two days, divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The Plenary Lectures, given by renowned scholars, will take place in each of the sessions. Several communications sessions are also planned, for which contributions of a 20-minute paper will be accepted, with a final debate of 10 minutes for each session. These presentations can be delivered in any of the three official languages ​​of the event: Spanish, Galician and English.
