Create a framework for cooperation among it's members to promote R&D at UDC and seek synergies with other university bodies that participate in the research and innovation ecosystem.

Share knowledge, experiences, good practices, actions and resources that enhance the research capabilities of its members.

Develop proposals, reports and strategic documents in the areas of action of it's members.

Design common policies and actions in matters of research management for all it's members.

Promote the specialization and professionalization of the management units of the UDC's R&D centers and units.

Establish mechanisms for administrative simplification and rationality.

Establish a bond with other R&D systems both within the Galician University System (SUG) and in national and international contexts.

Advise UDC governing bodies on research strategy.

Inform about the creation proposals and reformulation of UDC's R&D centres and units or those in which it participates.
