In Europe in particular and in developed countries in general, there is a growing concern for the landscape, understood as an own heritage that must be preserved since it is a fundamental element of the quality of life.
The Landscape Convention aims to encourage public authorities to adopt policies and measures at local, regional, national and international level to protect, plan and manage European landscapes with a view to conserving and improving their quality and bringing to the public, institutions and local and regional authorities to recognize the value and importance of the landscape and to take part in public decisions related to it.
What becomes evident is the need for society to train professionals specialized in this topic to work in the companies and administrations that will have to continue developing this work in the coming years, and to also join other multidisciplinary teams to develop the instruments of urban planning and territorial organization that, with increasing intensity, demand greater attention and sensitivity to the landscape.
