Visiting students

The Visiting Student Programme is aimed at undergraduate/graduate students from all around the world wishing to spend a full year/semester of study at the University of A Coruña, but not within the framework of an established exchange agreement.

The package designed for visiting students includes:

  1. Tuition for 60 European credits (30 per semester)
  2.  Optional intensive Spanish language support

Visiting students share courses with regular students at UDC, registering in courses offered at any Faculty or School. They are assigned to one of the Faculties or Schools of the University of A Coruña where they will pursue most of their courses: the University of A Coruña offers courses both in Spanish and English.

Departamental coordinators of international relations in each Faculty/School will offer visiting students help and guidance.

The University of A Coruña believes strongly in the value of a year-long study abroad programme and, consequently, highly recommends this option better than single-semester study options. Whilst the idea of a whole year overseas may be daunting, we're confident that the more involved and comprehensive experience enjoyed students more than justifies their decision to make what is, undoubtedly, a big commitment.

Visiting students should have sufficient knowledge of Spanish and/or English to be able to follow lectures and classes. At least a B1 level (MCERL) of Spanish or English language is recommended. As regards courses taught in Spanish, the University of A Coruña is well aware of the difficulty that studying in a foreign language entails, so it offers optional Spanish language courses for visiting students. For further information students can contact Centro de Linguas.

At the end of their studies visiting students get a transcript of records which their home university can use in order to award them credit towards the completion of their degrees. The University of A Coruña will also assist Visiting students and their home universities in this process of academic recognition.
