Irish poet Maighread Medbh, thanks to the POLDRA programme promoted by the Culture Department of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, and in collaboration with the Amergin University Institute, recounted the process of creating her latest book at the conference ‘Posthumanist Intimations: The Limits of Nostalgia’, a reflection that combined literature and critical thinking in a look at the future from the perspective of memory.
The Director of the Amergin University Institute, David Clark, introduced the conference in which the writer, making use of her renowned poetic interpretations, engaged the audience by involving them in the reading of her poems.
Maighread Medbh was the winner of the Ruadh Ó Domhnaill International Poetry Award, which enabled her to undertake a literary residency in A Coruña during the month of September at Residencia 1863.
