Jennifer Paz Canosa

Jennifer Paz is a graduate student in Biology from Universidade da Coruña (2018). In the same year she started her Master's Degree in Bioinformatics and she currently prepares her Master's Thesis in NEUROcom group. This work, lead by José L. Pardo and Carmen de Labra is "Rol of prefrontal cortex in decision making, learning rules and working memory" which is related to the project "Rol of feedback circuits in visual processing and working memory".

She is also a PhD student within the Neuroscience Program in Health Sciences Faculty. Her PhD thesis takes part in the project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation "Food and cognitive functioning: do we make worse decisions because we have too much food, too easy to get?" and it is lead by José L. Pardo and also by Casto Rivadulla.

Scientific interests

Since she started her academic career, her interests were focused on neuroscientific research, working in different projects. Thanks to her Master's Thesis she started working with transcranial magnetic stimulation techniques in our laboratory and she decided to continue her path within research through her thesis project, which could help to introduce more deeply in decision making processes.
