Scientific interest
During his PhD he described the function of nitric oxide (NO) in the processing of visual signs in the thalamo and the cortex. Since that moment his interest was focused on how the brain codes the reality which receives from the outside in order to creat complex sensations. He has great experience in image, pharmacological and non-invasive neuromodulation techniques. The last part of his activity is related to reveal the role of feedback connections within the processing of visual information and the role of the initial structures of processing in filtering and selecting relevant stimulus. Moreover he has collaborated in projects related to Parkinson Disease and the neuromodulation techniques for epilepsy treatment.
