I International Conference: Sexism at Physical-sport Context and Experiences for the Change

On October 8th and 9th, it will be held the I International Conference: “Sexism at physical-sport context and experiences for the change”, which is related to the R&D project “Gender Relationships in Secondary School. Strategies, through physical-sport activity, to encourage free violence and free-intimidating equity interactions”.

Due to the current health situation, it will be online (following communications in streaming).

The main purpose of this meeting is to develop an exchange and brainstorming space to spread the need for coeducation as a tool for working in and for equality from the sports field. To that end, conferences, communications, and a workshop to create strategies for sports equality will be conducted. Participation in the strategies creation workshop will be in strict order of registration.

The conference is open to any people with high interest in the topic, enrolment is free and assistance will be certified.

Key dates
  • Wednesday, June 30th Monday, July 12th: deadline for sending communications.
  • Wednesday, September 1st: start of the registration period (will be done through this form)
  • Friday, September 24th: deadline for registration.

Communications submission "Experiencies for the change (III)":

Communications submission for I International Conference: “Sexism at physical-sport context and experiences for the change:

There is an open call for any professional in the sports field (both recreational, federal, university, and physical education, etc. areas) who wants to share particular experiences about coeducation and sport.

Deadline for submit summaries will be June 31st 2021 at 23:59 (UCT/GMT + 1 hour). Accepted presentation selection will be communicated last fortnight of July 2021.

Communication proposals will follow next rules:

A summary of 300-400 words will be sent, it might be both in Galician, Portuguese, English, or Spanish. They will be sent using this form and they will follow the next structure:

  • Communication title
  • Full name of authors and institutional affiliation (maximum 1 communication per person and 4 authors per communication).
  • Communication summary which must outline:
    • Context (intervention place, problem, involved subjects, etc.).
    • Objectives.
    • Performed intervention.
    • Results or discussion.
    • Conclusions.

Selected communications will be recorded and sent to the organization to avoid possible problems resulting from streaming connection, following the indications that will be received along with the acceptance mail.

Only those registered in the workshop will be certified as a presentation of the communication.
