Objective

The Open Gov Week is a global initiative promoted by the Open Government Partnership, that was celebrated its fourth edition from May 16-20, 2022, but in Spain was postponed to June 27-July 1 week. Its main objective is to get the governments closer to the citizens, based on principles of transparency, accountability, participation, integrity and collaboration.

This year, the Division of Citizen care, Transparency and Publications of the Ministry of Science and Innovation wants to emphasise the visibility of the organizations that participate in European Research Infrastructures.

The University Institute of Environment (IUMA) will participate in this initiative with a guided tour to its facilities, and description of the work conducted here. Specifically the Air Quality Monitoring Station will be visited. The IUMA is an associated partner of the European research infrastructure ACTRIS (Aerosols, Clouds and Trace gases Research Infrastructure). We collaborate through ACTRIS-Spain on some specific measuring campaigns for ultrafine particles, black carbon and other pollutants. 

Target groups

The activity is aimed at students (University, Vocational Training, High School) and general educational community.

In-person: It will be an aproximately 1-hour visit.

Each hour is limited to the first 15 registered participants.

Notice: During the Conference, the IUMA staff will take general photographs with the sole purpose of uploading them to the IUMA website about this activity and to prepare a graphic summary of the event. If you do not want to take pictures in these, please, talk to us before the start of the visit.
