Instructional Method
I use modern technologies (videos, audio, PowerPoint, short films, conversations, websites…) to make easy the content of lessons. I always, try to make the situations which I taught theatrical. And I avoid using translation, because teaching Arabic to non-native speakers is not a lesson of translation from Arabic to other languages. In addition, I try to motivate all students to participate in the lessons, because I think that the successful lesson is the interactive one. I also, prefer to make a part of my lesson practical to assure the well comprehension of some words and expressions, especially those which are related to traditions and daily life, I suggest to the administration a short trip with my students in the city, bazaars, market (souk)…
As a conclusion teaching language to non- native speakers is very delicate, so it needs patient and gives more efficiency when it will be interactive and more concrete.
