Lecturer Information

Name: Jean Bernard Codur Romain
Home Institution: Ecole de Biologie Industrielle (Cergy, France)

After graduating from high school in 2012, I studied two years in “preparatory classes”, with a focus on math, physics, engineering, and chemistry. I was accepted to the Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (Cachan, France) through national competitive exams in 2014. There, I studied physics for four years, the fourth one being a Master program specialized in theoretical physics (Marseille, France). After getting my MSc, I started a PhD in cosmology in the Centre de Physique Théorique (Marseille, France). The topic of my PhD was: Spherical symmetric inhomogeneities in cosmology: effects on redshift and distance.
My current position, as a teacher-researcher in physics, fluid dynamics, and modeling, at the Ecole de Biologie Industrielle (Cergy, France) involves teaching fluid mechanics, electromagnetism, and math. In addition, I actively participate in various research projects in biology with physical and numerical modeling of the underlying phenomena. I am fluent in French and English, and proficient in the use of Python language.
