Course Overview
First week: Cultural heritage protection management, on the example of Armenian heritage architecture
A carefully crafted course introduces participants to Armenian history and culture, covering research, restoration, and conservation methods. Explore the unique legacy that defines Armenia's identity in a straightforward and comprehensive manner.
Second week: Skill development in architectural design presentations
Based on a succeed case studies and on a few realized projects, participants of the workshop will be introduced to the process of the architectural projection and to the analytical understanding of the value and the role of the creative thinking, negotiation process and problem solutions in architectural design. They will pass through all this steps and will by the combination of the lectures, and following practical exercises will get the importance of the abovementioned.
Learning Outcomes
First week:
By the conclusion of the program, participants will acquire a solid foundation of knowledge encompassing Armenian prehistorical antiquity, Christian heritage, and the modern cultural landscape.
Second week:
At the completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
• will try and understand the analytic way of preparing the feasibility study for the design concept
Course Content
First week:
Day 01: Introduction and Historical Overview
Day 02: Construction Techniques and Survey Methods
Day 03: World Heritage Sites in Armenia
Day 04: Case Study - Yererouk Cathedral Research and Conservation
Day 05: Case Study - Bardsraqash Monastery Research and Conservation
Throughout the course, participants will engage in a dynamic learning experience that incorporates realized success stories, infographics, and lateral thinking methodologies to actively enhance creative thinking skills.
Second week:
The course consist of five lectures, introducing realized succeed stories, as well as, based on the infographic and lateral thinking methodology will practically develop the creative thinking.

As the bonus lecture, for the participants will be suggested short lecture concerning “how to prepare architectural presentation, and how to be ready for a work interview”.
Instructional Method
After all lectures and following discussions the practical exercises will be provide during all days, as well as instructional methods include lectures; group works etc.
Required Course Materials
The whole course will be better understanded by the architect students from second year and above. For the deeper outcomes students should have stuff for hand sketching, laptops, and willing to do a homework for further discussions at the class.
Assessment
The students’ assessment will be done based on practical works implemented by students, and on a presence for all topics.
