Espazo Compartido is a university certificate program of the University of A Coruña aimed at promoting personal autonomy and labour market inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The main objective of this programme is to foster social and personal skills, providing the basic competencies for employability and promoting the university and socio-labour inclusion of people with ID and/or ASD.
General Information:
Target population: people with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) aged between 18 and 30, with a disability rating of 33% or higher.
Duration: 2 years (Initial Level + Advanced Level). Both academic years run from September to June and are divided into two semesters.
Location: School of Civil Engineering (ETS of Roads, Canals and Ports) – Elviña Campus.
Structure of the program:
Initial Level: focused on personal and social development, with an introduction to the work environment. It includes theoretical training, specialized workshops, and practical experience in UDC services.
Advanced Level: focused on skills and competencies specific to the work environment. It includes two specialization tracks: Retail and Warehouse Assistant and Administration and Services Assistant. Practical training takes place in regular companies.
Teaching Team: an interdisciplinary team of professionals specialized in inclusive education, along with collaborating faculty from the University of A Coruña (UDC).
