John Habraken. Dutch architect, graduated in 1955 at the TU Delft. Author of alternative processes for the production of mass housing, published in "Supports, an Alternative to Mass Housing" or "The Structure of the Ordinary". His projects and research are developed in the School of Architecture of Eindhoven, which he founded, and at MIT, who runs for sixteen years. Balkrishna Doshi. Disciple of Le Corbusier, Aga Kahn Award for Architecture, founder in 1962 of the Schools of Architecture at Ahmedabad (India) and the Physical Planning (1972) in the same city. He is one of the emblems of contemporary Indian architecture, although that has not removed him from a strong commitment to the problems of the poorest people of the country, whose research led him to found the Vastu Shilpa Foundation. |
