The cognitive or intellectual aspect is crucial when dealing with issues arising from the absence of basic habitability, but it would not be enough if not accompanied by its ethical dimension. To get a change towards a solidary attitude in its right way, it's necessary a change in individual and collective behavior that reminds us that our decisions affect our lives and that of others. We the citizens have the power and ability to influence for a solidary development of the world, and we have to use it with the responsibility that a global society demands.
The comprehensive training that must encourage university can not ignore this ethical aspect. The one of a professional integrated in a society that is going to claim him a participatory action in addressing these demands and needs of a world in which the north-south border should disappear.
To promoting participation in the necessary proposals for change and the new strategies that the problem of human development and the right to habitat require, it’s essential to facilitate understanding of the relationships between our lives and those of other societies, increase awareness of these realities, which are not so far away,
This awareness work of professionals in their training period and the society in which their work is inserted have a place in sections 'Academic' and 'Dissemination', where are hosted content related to knowledge of the realities that have to further the development of these attitudes and skills for transformation.
