Alberto Fortes Novoa María del Mar Community

Final degree project about cooperation for development made at the Architeture School of the A Coruña University; consisting in urbanizing and building houses and facilities for the María del Mar Community, at the town of Champerico (Retalhulheu, Guatemala), for a "landless" collective of 71 families.

When I started the project was looking for a topic that I felt comfortable with, and to have fun while learning. Making this project involved know and appreciate another culture as the Maya; but do it in an entertaining way makes the job more enjoyable and we move away from the insufferable activity that can become a project that is delayed in time. Everything that is well done is fun and finds the reward of learning; on the contrary, taking shortcuts is a constant source of disappointment.
