IVUC - Institute for Housing, Urban Planning and Construction

The Institute for Housing, Urban Planning and Construction (IVUC) is a study and research center created in 2006, and is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (FIA) at the University of San Martin de Porres (USMP) located in Lima (Peru).
The IVUC promotes and conducts studies on scientific and technological innovation in the fields of housing, urban planning and construction, and applies the results in solving community problems. The criteria of social welfare and sustainability are key to the approach IVUC, having as vision become a study center in a spirit of solidarity and integration. Also, as part of its outreach to the community, IVUC serves as consultant's office to individuals and institutions that request.
In the few years of its existence, the IVUC has made significant achievements, both referred to the building technologies and supporting to the material and social needs of its citizens, some of which are shown on its website.

The IVUC aspires to be a center of studies and scientific and technological research in prestigious national and international level, based on high academic and professional standards of its members, for its strong spirit of solidarity and integration with the community, and its high performance in the production and application of knowledge related to architecture, urban planning, housing and construction.

Mission

The IVUC, imposed itself as fundamental task, promote and facilitate the development of studies and scientific and technological research (related to architecture, urban planning, housing and construction), applying the knowledge derived therefrom in solving community problems and providing consulting services to individuals, organizations and institutions who request.

Objectivs

The IVUC aims to achieve the category of leading center of integration between USMP and community and, in academic, and local and national research scenario, the category of leading center for the production, application and dissemination of knowledge relating to architecture, urban planning, housing and construction.
