Arquitectos Sen Fronteiras is a non governmental organization that, since its founding in 1995, has worked in the defense of decent housing with special emphasis on the most disadvantaged populations. One of the basic pillars of the organization is its social base, mostly students and graduates of the University of A Coruña, working voluntarily since its founding. The organization currently has 30 active volunteers organized into three working groups:

- Group of international cooperation, which is responsible for the identification, management and dissemination of cooperation projects in developing countries.

- Group of local cooperation, working in the identification, management and dissemination of projects at the local level, particularly in the shanty towns surrounding the city of A Coruña.

- Group of education for development, working on awareness and training efforts.

Since its founding in 1995, the official headquarters of the organization is located in the School of Architecture of A Coruña, thus maintaining a stable group and continuous contact with a wide range of the social base and the University of Coruña.

In its years of existence in Galicia, Arquitectos Sen Fronteiras performed several projects of international cooperation, most of them in Guatemala, and awareness activities focussed to the international sphere and to social action projects developed locally.
