Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (CEEA-UDC)

The Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (CEEA-UDC) was established at the University of A Coruña following the creation and commissioning of its first animal experimentation facility.

The Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee is integrated within the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer of the University of A Coruña. It is an interdisciplinary, independent, and advisory body whose primary purpose is to evaluate and promote a culture of responsible and ethical use of animals among research staff, teaching personnel, and students. In addition, it ensures the ethical use and welfare of laboratory animals in response to societal and administrative requirements. To this end, the CEEA-UDC is governed by internal regulations that define its basic operating procedures, based on strict confidentiality criteria and guaranteeing the impartiality of its decisions.
