Leonardo's anatomical drawings

For years, the Oza University Library has been guarding treasures that are little known to the public. One of them, perhaps the most important, is a collection of facsimiles showing the genius of the most outstanding master of the Italian Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519).

The great attraction for us is that this collection includes a large part of the master's studies on human anatomy. It is a series of pages that include beautiful illustrations of anatomy, and which we now present under the heading: "Leonardo, a selection of anatomical drawings from Windsor Castle".

The anatomical drawings on display belong to the "Royal Collection" of the British royal family from the 17th century. The facsimiles were published in the "Corpus of the anatomical studies in the collection of Her Majesty The Queen at Windsor Castle", with commentaries by Kenneth D. Keele and Carlo Pedretti, and were published in 1979 by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Publishers.
