The Francisco Pillado Mayor Library-Archive is the result of a donation agreement between Francisco Pillado Mayor and the UDC that dates back to 1996.

The Pillado Library is a collection of monographs, performing arts journals, classical and contemporary theatre texts in Galician and other languages. It is located on the library’s second floor.

The Pillado Archive is a record collection that has been gathered by Francisco Pillado throughout his career. This compendium is complemented by both private and public records provided periodically by theatre companies and other organizations. All of these documents are grouped in the “Colección Francisco Pillado”, which is subdivided into the following series: Luis Seoane Archive, Posters, Theatre Companies, Events, Audiovisual Material, Music, Organizations, Press, Programmes Booklets, Publications, Performances and Texts.

The Francisco Oti Ríos Collection is a separate entity within the Archive. This playwright, set designer, costume designer, actor and theatrical manager donated important material, which is subdivided into the following series: Posters, Theatre Companies, Correspondence, Events, Audiovisual Material, Organizations, Press, Theatrical Programs, Performances and Texts.

Access to the Pillado Archive is limited only to researchers, who must require a prior authorisation from the Library.

The files of the Francisco Pillado Mayor Library-Archive can be consulted on the online catalogue of the UDC library. You can also consult scanned copies of the graphic files included in these series on the RUC website (“Coleccións especiais”, Colección Francisco Pillado Mayor).
