The Biblioteca de Autores Españoles desde la formación del lenguaje hasta nuestros días (Library of Spanish Authors from language formation to today), also known as BAE, is a collection of Spanish classics published between 1846 and 1880. Its was published by the writer Bonaventura Carles Aribau, who was shareholder of La Publicidad, the society that funded the project. In 1847 Bonaventura left the direction of the collection to Manuel Rivadeneyra and this to its son Adolph Rivadeneyra. The publisher wanted to make the masterpieces of Spanish literature available to the general public.

In this list you will find the two volumes of the original edition and the other 305 volumes of a later edition that began to publish Atlas in the middle of the XX century, and that we keep in the library.
