How do I know which magazines the Library has?
The library has paper journals and electronic journals. To find out if the Library has a specific journal, you can consult the catalog and search by journal title. You can also find if a journal is in electronic format in the electronic resources search engine.
To consult a list of the journals that we have in the School Library, click on the following links:
Incoming paper jounals (journals we currently receive)
Cancelled paper journals (new issues are no longer received)
No, the journals are excluded from the loan but you can scan the articles in the scanner library or have them photocopied after presenting your university card at the information desk.
How can I consult the electronic journals?
You can directly consult the electronic journals if you do it from any of the computers in the UDC network and also from your laptop if you are connected via WI-FI. To access from outside you must first authenticate yourself as a member of the UDC.
Look for the journal in the Library catalog and click on the “Full Text” link or on the SFX button. You can also search for the journal in the electronic resource search engine.
Is there access to all issues in electronic journals?
Subscription to an electronic journal does not imply access to all the published numbers of it. In addition, there are publishers that apply an "embargo period", that is, they do not give access to the latest published numbers.
It may also happen that a journal that began to be published in 1991, for example, only gives access to numbers published from 1998 to the present.
To quickly access this information you can consult the list of electronic journals. Those journals with electronic access to the numbers currently published and to all or some of the previous years are indicated with a green dot, and with a yellow dot those that do have an embargo period or that ceased to have electronic access at some point.
If you cannot find the journal number you need, check the electronic resources search engine as there are journal titles that can be accessed through different links with different content each.
