The Faculty or School Council is the Collegiate Governing Body for the Centre to which it pertains.
Its duties include, among others:
The dean of the faculty or the director of the school is the individual governing body of the centre. This figure is responsible for the direction of the centre. He presides and coordinates its collegiate bodies, and is responsible for putting their decisions into practice.
He must be one of the professors or permanent lecturers from the centre, and is elected by the committee of the centre, and is nominated by the rector. This post holds a three-year mandate, after which the director can stand for re-election.
The vicedeans or subdirectors direct and co-ordinate the specific area which is assigned to them by the dean or director.
The secretary is the validating official for the acts and agreements decided on by the governing and administrative bodies of the centre.
The Departmental Council is the Collegiate Governing Body for the Department.
