Location: Vienna, Austria

We are a medium-sized Austrian company belonging to the most renowned and experienced institutions with regard to naval architecture and model testing. Due to staff retirement we are looking for an experienced naval engineer, who will be in charge of conducting model tests and analyzing measured data on his own responsibility; additionally, consulting international customers will be a major task.

Tasks:

• Compilation of tenders and conduction of price negotiations
• Processing of extensive orders and inquiries
• Supporting the general management in all strategic issues
• Optimization of ship hulls, propellers, appendages and superstructure
• Execution of model tests in the towing tank, cavitation and wind tunnel tests
• Lines review and optimization proposals
• Analysis of model test results and report generation
   

Requirements:

• Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Expert in hydrostatics and hydrodynamics
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering and basic knowledge in measurement techniques
• Leadership experience, experience in customer care and delegation competence
• Excellent English skills oral and written, fluent German skills highly appreciated
• Profound Excel and MathCad knowledge
• Good knowledge in AutoCAD and CFD
• Knowledge in Napa and Rhino preferred
