Instructions for applications by organisers of academic activities, courses or seminars for free choice credit recognition

Recognition of free choice credits for courses, seminars, conferences and congresses.

1. The Syllabus Commission (CPE) will recognise free choice credits for courses, seminars, conferences or congresses held at the university of A Coruña (UDC), other universities, public institutions or private entities.
2. In the case of private entities, it will be required a letter of reference from the dean, the director of the centre or the head of department once the academic/teaching commission has been consulted or, in its case, the department permanent commission.

Procedure for the application by organisers of courses, seminars, congresses and other formative activities for free choice credit recognition

1. For courses, seminars, conferences and congresses to be undertaken, the request for acquisition of free choice credits must be submitted by organisers or promotors to the Vice-rectorate for Academic Organisation, that will forward them to the Syllabus Commission.
   The request must include the following information:
   
   1. Application form for credit awarding
   2. Brief description of the content
   3. Reference from the dean/director of the centre or the head of department (in the case of private entities that must apply for it in the Centre/Department).
   4. Programme, date and detailed timetable.
2. The Vice-rectorate for Academic Organisation will establish the deadline for submission of applications for each of the two annual official announcements, which will take place in September/October and March/April. Application forms will be forwarded to the Syllabus Commission whose decision will result in drawing up and publishing the offer for each academic year.
3. Period in which activity and course organisers apply for credits:
   • Application from lectures, centres, departments or institutes of the UDC to the VOA:
     - From September 1st to October 1st
     - From March 1st to April 1st
   • Application from private entities to deans/directors (guarantee required):
     - From September 1st to September 30th
     - From March 1st to March 30th
   • Submission of applications from organisers (includying all the information required) from the centres to the VOA:
     - From October 1st to October 31st
     - From April 1st to April 30th
   • Deadline for publishing courses and seminars to be offered:
     - before November 15th
     - before May 15th
